Comments: Still think he's gay, but I'd definitely go out with him again.
Either my gay-dar is off or gay is the new straight. If Michael is straight then I'm hanging up my hat. I'm outta the dating game. I'm benched, because it's way too confusing out there.
You see, I was there on that street corner with my friend, Amy, when we chatted up Michael and his cute boyfriend (or so we thought), Daniel. We invited them to come dancing with us and they agreed, however when we got to the bar they huddled far away from us deep in conversation. "A lover's quarrel?" we wondered. They didn't offer to buy us drinks.
Eventually we did all dance like crazy and Michael told me he loved my dress. "That pattern", he said, "is so 90's!" What's gayer than that?
At some point I wandered away to find a straight man to dance with while Amy and Michael showcased their amazing swing dancing skills to the crowd. When I got back she informed me that he asked for her number and that they'd made out. Maybe, we thought, Michael and Daniel were just taking a gay-day off. Making out is fun no matter your gender so that didn't really disprove our theory.
It wasn't until several days later that Michael called Amy (not texted!) and asked her out on a date that we started to question our assumptions. And our questions continue today as she has a second date scheduled with him tomorrow.
