Comments:

I was actually pretty excited to meet this guy. He is several years younger than me, but seemed to have great energy when we talked on the phone. I'm not sure where that energy and fun went. We went cosmic ice skating, his idea, and we were the only ones there over the age of 14. I was pretty amused watching the pre-teens all night. He was about 10 min late, but he called to let me know he was almost there.

In addition to the quotes above, he talked about money almost the entire night, what his salary is currently, what it has been EVERY year previously, what the players make on his team, what everyone else makes, what he pays monthly for his mortgage, and on and on. Dude, I don't care! Please stop. We had an uncomfortable hug goodbye at my car, and that was that. Oh, and regarding the smart comment, it took all of my restraint not to tell him that he was severly underestimating the people I know!

Love your blog! Jo

Thanks Jo! I love you for sharing this date. I'm not sure which is worse - talking about lesbians in a derogatory way or talking about money all night. This guy sounds like he needs to grow up a bit and to learn to plan a first date activity where there are no kids allowed. (I had to google cosmic ice skating. Probably because I'm over age 14).
